Atari Lynx Announcement
Atari showcased their Lynx portable to the Japanese press in the Summer of 1989. At this point in time, several of the Lynx's EPYX-developed games still had prototype names and graphics, like Net Runner for Electrocop, Monster Demolition for Rampage, and Gemquest for Gauntlet III. Of course, once Atari purchased the Lynx hardware, proper licenses to Atari and Midway's games were duly obtained.
The Lynx finally got an official Japanese release in Summer of 1990, through the mysteriously-named distributor Mumin Japan.
